Description

Charming family holiday house in Perigord Dordogne for 6 people

Welcome in a very comfortable and typical country  holiday house in Perigord Dordogne, former tobacco drying shed, which we completely restored, decorated and equipped. It shares the big 7,4 acres park and the warmed swimming pool with the guests of the Manor house. Family holiday house in Perigord Dordogne is a big house which can welcome 8 people.

Introduce you to a fine living room full of warm bright colours overlooking a sweeping lawn (play the piano, browse the books) and excellent bedrooms. Breakfasts are fresh, bathrooms delightful… there’s a heated pool shared with gîte guests, a river beach nearby, riding next door.

Wonderful, charming, and very pretty manor house with a great view of the countryside! We attended a wedding at Chateau de Cazenac nearby (a 2 minute drive) and this was the perfect base for us. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, although a little dark, but I think this helped keep the room cool in the hot summer! Breakfast was delightful and delicious - homemade cakes, pastries, jams, crepes and more! The chocolate cake was so good - we had to ask for the recipe! Would definitely stay here again.

“Beautiful manoir, greats hosts ”

We stayed for just one night on our way from Paris to Barcelona. The hosts were incredibly friendly. We stayed with our two dogs who were warmly welcomed also. The hosts had two dogs, but they were kept away from the common areas. We opted for dinner in the manoir which was stunning, sitting with the owners for great conversation, great food and fabulous wine. There are large grounds and we allowed our dogs off the lead for a run around with the owners dogs... Our room was enormous, creaky floors add to the charm of this 17th century Manor House, with ceiling heights of 5m... Classic French breakfast to send us on our way. A great find and would stay again, maybe for longer next time. Small local produce store in the village centre - a must visit for local produce and wine...! Stayed August 2015, traveled as a couple

“My Second Time Here - What an Incredible Experience!”

This is my second time staying at Manoir de la Brunie - my husband and 2 friends we were traveling with just returned from France 3 weeks ago. I always remember the first time I stayed there with my mother (7 years ago) and wanted to go back and experience this delightful place again. Celia, our hostess, is a wonderful cook (actually a chef) and didn't disappoint! She is charming and serves an excellent evening meal. Accommodations were excellent - just as I remember and the grounds are totally lovely. Do yourselves a favor and stop here for a couple of nights!

“Excellent hostess”

Excellent service, room ideal for hot weather conditions, lovely location, easy to find, enjoyed especially during wonderful al fresco breakfasts. Make sure you have dinner at least once - ours was a local gastronomic experience to remember both enjoyed and served with pleasure by the elegant and glamorous manager. Although not right in the centre of Dordogne attractions, access to most of them was quite easy, meaning we felt we had the best of both worlds. We particularly enjoyed the relaxed style of welcome, being provided with keys to come and go as we pleased. Well sited heated outdoor swimming pool which was much appreciated. Excellent value for money.

Great location with BnB accommodation

Just perfect! I was in the gite for 5 days and I had all the comfort I dreamed off!! I had to cook for a wedding dinner in the Chateau next to Manoir de la Brunie and it was the best place to stay, Hervelyne was so helpful with her husband and daughter Casandra..

Perfect place for family to stay

We didn't search out this B&B it was booked for us as we were attending a wedding a the Chateau de Cazenac near so we had no preconceptions. The rooms are huge, the beds enormous and extremely comfortable. The Manoir is a traditional French house with tall ceilings, thick walls and windows with shutters, it looks stunning inside and out....
